Adele highlights our obsession with women’s bodies. So after the Grammy’s when Karl Lagerfeld thinks Adele is a little too fat we are reminded that if you are a woman it does not matter how brilliant you are, someone will notice your weight. I do not recall any comments on male opera singers’ physical shapes. Luckily Adele is witty as well as smart and talented.
