Ever since Dan Brown’s mega blockbuster books I have been interested in the history (or should I say, herstory) of women – and how much of it has been blotted out, particularly by the religions of the day. I am looking forward to seeing this film on Pope Joan since it suggests that there may have been a woman pope. Even if it’s not the “truth” according to certain religious beliefs, it does beg the question: Why are women not seen worthy to hold such positions of influence? and When we will have a female pope?
