Recently British Prime Minister David Cameron had to ask all the commonwealth countries to change their laws in accordance with his new the British law to ensure that girls, not just a boys can take the throne (all for for Prince William and Catherine.) Here is what he wrote,”We espouse gender equality in all other aspects of life, and it is an anomoly that in the rules relating to the highest public office we continue to enshrine male superiority.” Funny that it took so long to change a law that is so clearly out of step, but glad to hear he supports gender equality. It was only 1952 when Queen Elizabeth took the throne – only because she had no brother. [Source: Vancouver Sun, 31 Jan 2013]
