I did not know Edith but I am riding on a road she built. She died at age 91 and was the last of four female flight attendants who in the 1940’s organized a union to fight for equal rights for “stewardesses.” In the 1940’s airline attendants who got married got fired. They were required to stay within a certain weight (eg slim) and were fired their 30’s (too old). Seems like a long time ago, but it was not. May you rest in peace Edith and thank you!
