New researh by Rosenzweig & Co shows that just 4 of the CEO poistions at Canadas 100 biggest public corporations are female and that only 7.4% of the executive positions are held by females.
Michelle Morin a partner at Rosenzweig said, “The pace is disheartening” and “Over the last six years we’ve been studying this issue, and very little has improved for taleted women executives.” Although it might be easy to blame women for not being “agressive enough”, the truth is that it takes a lot of men and women to shift corporate structures and cultures where women are still not accepted, included, supported or promoted, even though its been proven over and over that companies benefit significantly from the leadership of women.
