Yippee my book is out in 6th Edition: Legal Problem Solving

I am so proud to tell you that my book that I first wrote about 18 years ago is now out in its 6th edition! Legal Problem Solving: Reasoning, Research and Writing (Lexis/Nexis, 2013), is hot off the press. It is a textbook for a first year law course called “Legal Research and Writing.” I understand that the article I wrote so long ago, “What’s Wrong with Legal Research and Writing” is also still widely read. Amazing! I could never have imagined that people would love what I thought and wrote! I do know that I had no aspiration to write such a huge book. While I was teaching Legal Research and Writing at the University of Victoria and at UBC I simply wanted to have a textbook for the course. Any textbook. So I guess the three years plus I spent writing it and updating it was worthwhile.  Thanks to Susan Barker who helped me edit it this time around.
