Its a brilliant idea!
Ask men to stop domestic abuse by re-claiming an ancient traditional ceremony that honours the special bond between siblings. The Rakhi Project does this in Surrey British Columbia, where domestic violence is all too familiar. And it’s so simple: A sisters ties a purple bracelet to her brother’s wrist. The project is designed to inspire brothers and other male family members to help stop domestic abuse. I love it! (Source: Laura Kane, Vancouver Sun, July 19)
